Offline, local, and deliberately small.

Diamond Signal stores only optional display choices and up to three selected card identifiers on the device. It has no account, app-operated server, ads, analytics, or Internet permission.

Responsible entity, scope, and effective date

Grantsville Cowboys Baseball is responsible for Diamond Signal on Android. This policy applies to the installed app and its bundled educational content. It is effective July 31, 2026. The separate public support website explains the same app behavior.

Intended audience and adult boundary

Diamond Signal is designed for parents, guardians, coaches, adult facilitators, volunteers, and youth athletes using it with an authorized adult. It is not designed for an unsupervised child to register, communicate, report an incident, or manage a team.

App purpose and principal functions

The app provides 45 offline baseball-learning cards, a visual field board, neutral situation prompts, a private three-card practice plan, team-culture prompts, safety boundaries, sources, and this policy. These are general educational resources, not claims about an existing program, schedule, roster, team result, or service.

Data collected, transmitted, and not collected

The app does not collect or transmit personal information. It does not request a name, email address, phone number, birth date, account identifier, photograph, precise location, contact list, message, health record, attendance record, score, or payment information. It has no app-operated server.

On-device preferences and session state

The app may store text-size choice, Reduce Motion choice, and up to three selected card identifiers in private on-device preferences. These generic values are used only to restore the display and private plan on that device. They are not associated with an identity.

Sensitive, youth, and free-text records

Diamond Signal does not provide free-text notes, youth profiles, rosters, attendance, performance histories, medical or concussion logs, incident reports, eligibility records, or precise-location records. Do not use the app as a substitute for an organization’s authorized safeguarding, medical, or recordkeeping process.

Permissions

The app requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, phone, notification, Bluetooth, or storage permission. Android may add an internal package-visibility or signature permission as part of the platform libraries; that does not give the publisher access to user data.

Accounts and account deletion

There is no account, login, cloud identity, or server-side profile. Account deletion is therefore not applicable. The local reset control removes the app’s stored preferences and selected card identifiers; uninstalling the app also removes its local app data, subject to the device operating system.

Ads, analytics, tracking, and SDKs

Diamond Signal contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, attribution SDK, social SDK, crash-reporting service, behavioral tracking, remote configuration, or telemetry. It does not use advertising identifiers and does not show targeted advertising.

Sharing, sale, and third parties

Because the app does not collect or transmit personal information, the publisher does not sell, rent, or share app-collected personal information. The app’s bundled Android and Jetpack libraries provide local interface and lifecycle functions and are not configured as data-collection services.

External sources and network behavior

The app itself performs no network request. A user may choose to open a cited public source in a separate browser through Android’s external-link action. That browser and destination operate under their own terms and privacy practices; Diamond Signal does not receive the browsing result. The app does not send email or submit a contact form.

Retention

Generic preferences and selected card identifiers remain on the device until the user resets the app, clears app storage, or uninstalls it. The publisher receives no server copy and therefore has no remote retention period for app data.

Deletion, backup, restore, and device transfer

Use Privacy Dugout’s Reset local data control, Android’s Clear storage control, or uninstall the app to remove local state. Android backup and device-transfer extraction are disabled for app data. Device or operating-system behavior outside the app remains subject to the platform and device owner.

Security measures and limitations

Local preferences use the app’s private Android storage area, backup is disabled, cleartext traffic is disabled, and the app has no network permission. No device is perfectly secure. Anyone with access to an unlocked device may see the app’s non-sensitive selections, so use the reset control on a shared device.

Children, families, and safeguarding

The app does not enable chat, private adult-minor messaging, public child profiles, uploads, precise location, targeted ads, or engagement pressure. Youth use requires a parent, guardian, or authorized facilitator. Adult-minor interactions should follow applicable policy and remain observable and interruptible. The app is not a safeguarding report channel or emergency service.

Sports, health, and emergency limitation

Diamond Signal is general baseball and safety education. It does not diagnose injury, calculate medical clearance, prescribe training, replace official rules, or replace guardians, qualified coaches, athletic trainers, healthcare providers, or emergency services. Suspected concussion requires removal from participation, no same-day return, and qualified healthcare clearance; danger signs or any immediate threat require emergency help.

Policy changes and user choices

A future app update may revise this policy if app behavior changes. The effective date will be updated and the revised text will appear in the app and public policy. Users can avoid saving selections, change display preferences, reset local data, decline external links, or uninstall the app.
